Strange problems with wireless keys using multiple key fobs
Hello all,
I'm driving a 2012 with 149k currently, and recently I've started noticing issues with the key fobs.
I still have the two key fobs that came with the car when I purchased CPO in 2016.
I've recently replaced batteries in both key fobs, and have been swapping back and fourth. Seemingly randomly, they will each stop working. This includes the keyless unlock from the fob, the button on outside of the door, and turning on the ignition wirelessly.
When I stick the key fob in the slot (fobgina) it makes no difference! I've already almost been left stranded twice because of this, and the only way to make it work is to repeatedly press the unlock button on the fob until it starts working, then the wireless key will work perfectly for the ignition and I haven't needed to use the fobgina in either case.
Any ideas what could be causing this issue with the car? It happens regardless of which key I use, and I believe they are both genuine Nissan keys since I bought the car CPO from a Nissan dealer.
