The other thing with an EV is that once you buy it. Then you have to put in a charging station at your house. Now you have to figure out how many amps you need for it. Then figure out your panel box. If you have a 100 amp box. Figure you will need to go to a 200 amp panel. How many people can afford to up grade their panel boxes. Most places, you have to have a licensed electrician to do it. Another thing, if you have to park in the street. Do you run a cord from the house out to the EV. Then do you trust the neighborhood. If you live in an area with a HOA. How will they handle it?
