Are you sure you can lock it like that? I've never tried but in my old Lexus IS350 with push button start, if I left the car running and tried to lock the doors, it wouldn't lock. I could manually lock it by flipping the door lock and then closing the door but I could not do it via remote (which never made any kind of sense to me).
