20K miles and still looking good? What does that mean in terms of tread depth? I can't get more than 10K miles from a set of rear tires. I get an alignment every time and they are always at least a bit out of alignment by then.

What size are your new wheels? An alignment is always recommended when changing wheels or tires. Of course, you don't have to. But the trade-off of saving money by not getting an alignment is possible uneven tire wear that may require tire replacement sooner than if you had gotten an alignment. Your choice...
