I got Vertex fenders for my IS300, and although that is a fairly well known JDM brand . . . it still didn't fit perfect. Wasn't even the same side-to-side, frankly

They are listed a 15 mm wider, but if you roll/pull metal fenders, you actually can get close to that AND they aren't at risk of cracking.

So lesson learned:
Stick to metal unless you're not driving the car, or you have air and avoid any touching
