I drove from Michigan to Kentucky in a turbo camaro, about 500hp, and got 34mpg average.
On the flip side of that... My buddy uses 2 or 3 gallons of gas one pull at the dragstip. I cant remember the exact amount... but it was ridiculous.
I guess that's the difference between 500hp and 1500.

Top fuel and funny car will go through about 15 gallons per run. 55 gallon drum of nitromethane is about $900.00. Do the math.
