I did have one gone bad before, it was a 2011 FX50. Luckily, there’s a small access hole from the cabin where the solenoid was reachable...I ended up unplugging the power to it, became always unlocked until I had to to send the car to mechanic. Very frustrating when trying to fill gas and couldn’t get the darn door to open.
