And you know why Nissan does that? Because there are people who will pay more for those distinguishing features. Even if they are not that great and easily copied. The market is there.
Regardless of your feelings on the matter, a stock Nismo is a liability just like 99.9% of all cars. There is some extra value there compared to a non-Nismo Z, especially to certain buyers. But the Nismo version appreciating in value is a laughable thought.

Man its almost like you forgot all about the Rx7 Spirit R. What made it different? The fact that it was made by rhe few and a couple "upgrades" to the quality of the drive. It had nothing going for it besides being the last model of the car, yet look at them. I see unmolested/slight mods go for ove 50-70K.
