Ditto on what JL said. I'm continually finding things that the previous owner did halfway and having to figure out how to fix it. My suggestion is to paint and replace carpet (if you are going to do either) before you move in. Less stuff to move around and less worries about getting paint where it doesn't belong. |
Our plan is to paint, replace, and fix whatever is needed before we move in at all. Less work than having to shift an entire room later on to work on stuff. The upstairs master bedroom needs paint and some cosmetic work. The basement needs a thorough dusting. The kitchen needs a deep clean for sure. The house needs gutters, dry-lock the basement, and a dehumidifier put in place. But other than that, everything looks good. Until we get the report back from the home inspection....
