I just looked at the AAM line. The R-Tune I bought through Nissan's Nismo aftermarket company is very similar to AAM's S-Line system. There are some differences as well as similarities. There are enough differences that I don't agree with you that it is just rebranded. There are differences in the shape of the pipes. I also think the welding is better on the Nismo from what I can see from AAM's pictures and comparing to what I saw when mine were installed. I listened to their sound video. I really can't tell you how mine sounds outside the car, but I really enjoy the sound mine makes.
