The
only comparison made was to their current level of fame. See John Lennon's "
We're more popular than Jesus now." It was not a case of one being any better or worse than the other.
It would be pretty ignorant to deny the fact that Mr. Floyd is very (in)famous (worldwide no less) at this point.
I was merely pointing out that using abbrevs, initialisms, and acronyms in a post on The Intertubes is very common and not disrespectful. Yes, really.
