Anywhere I worked, small and large companies, I made sure a major change started as soon as the weekend began (long weekends preferred) and that all relevant departments, including operations, were on standby. If any executive had an issues with the timeline, they could kiss my @ss. I point out how much money in productivity, not to mention data loss, is possible if that deployment goes down hill and engineers/techs are under so much pressure that they will make mistakes. They end up seeing the light...lol

We had a special team of engineers and analysts on hand 24/7 for over a week when we migrated from groupwise to outlook365. All teams were present for all ops meetings and when deployment began.
