Throw in the Q60 Red Sport motor with 400hp with a manual trans, update the interior and tech, and bingo! I love how it is clean and doesn't look like it was designed by a 12-year old like the Supra. The rear taillights are supposedly inspired by the 300ZX. Bravo! (I'm a former 300ZX owner and current 370Z owner). Will be made in Japan and likely less expensive than the BMW Supra.

From what is shown so far, it certainly looks like what you are saying. Like the entire underneath could be the exact same as the current Z. Change the engine out, bolt on new body panels, put in a new interior, and they are good to go.
People are clamoring about the tranny. I get that. But what I'm concerned with is the steering. I like my old heavy feel hydraulic system. I'm not fond of new electronic systems. Sure they can have various settings etc, but the settings never seem to get it right. Add to it that some companies lump the steering setting in with tranny and engine settings (all in one sport setting) and it's not my thing at all. I'm really hoping they get the steering right, as steering feel and handling are my favorite parts of my 370Z.
