Yeah, I would never use a flat pad like that on a pinch weld (I use the pinch weld to lift with my floor jack, so same issues there). I've got several hockey pucks I use for lifting purposes. Slotted ones for the pinch welds and solid ones for the garage jack points (have to stack 2 at the differential to clear the exhaust canister). Fùck Amazon
I picked mine up for $1 apiece from the local Play It Again Sports and cut the slots myself.
The pads on these jack stands are perfect for holding the puck
