This is why I never have a plan to begin with. Just start the project and see where it goes. I don't want to texture and paint my living room wall (from lighting and speaker installation) and just have to rework it down the line. So in a few years when I'm ready to spend the money and do the work, I'll tear out the fireplace surround, tile the wall and add built-in cabinets on the side. Or maybe I'll do something else
