Our wheels are hub-centric, as opposed to most American vehicles, which are lug-centric.
In plain English, this means that the hub, not the lug nuts, are responsible for correctly locating the wheel on the car. The wrong size hub WILL NOT WORK!
A too small hub might can be bored out to the correct size. I have never heard of a rim being sleeved, altho I can imagine a special-made hub spacer allowing a larger hub to be adapted. Again, I've never heard of this being done.
