The issue has something to do with the passenger cam timing. Something about the oil pressure being low (might have a slight leak that over time messed up the timing? Don't know)

It's 2009 MT Touring Gray. 175k miles. The front bumber needs replaced. Slight crack in windshield. It's just to a point where it has a lot of minor things that add up to a lot. The shop offered to buy it for $2.5k which is not happening.

I'm thinking of parting out. What do you think? Anyone have any idea how much you get from slowly parting out?

Thanks
Labor cost to repair oil gallery gaskets and timing chain is about $1000, plus parts. So if they are quoting $2.5k, and no guarantee, something is a little out of whack. It sounds like the shop has no clue, especially if they are saying $5K for an engine. Or they do know how to fix it and want to go around bragging to people how they swiped this 370z from a guy for $2.5k...

There has to be someone near where you live that has experience with the VQ motor and can fix it without raping you.
