Default Latching Relay or Non Latching Relay

The EDFC Active Pro for Tein coilovers allows the use of a remote switch to enable / disable specific modes. 0V on the input engages the Auto G sensored Active mode, whereas 12V switches it to a preset.

I’ve had a switch 3D printed

Mines an Auto so it is to go where there is a blanking plate next to the shifter (typically this is where the button for the synchro rev match goes)

Now that button is a non latching type so would need a latching relay used that when on, cuts power to the EDFC control unit if I was to use that type of switch and replace the cover...

Or I use a hazard switch and use a non latching relay?

It will look something like this
