When I worked for Elliott. I dropped a Milwaukee 1/2' drill down 4 levels of a steam boiler. I watched it bounce from pipe to pipe all the way down to the bottom. I got down to the bottom, and the drill was still in one piece. Plugged it in and it sill worked.

That sold me on Milwaukee. At the power plant when we first started. Everyone wanted Dewalt. So I bought Dewalt's. Lots of them. Over the years, we would replace them about every 18 months. They just wasn't lasting. The batteries lasted about one year. So I got them to switch to Milwaukee's. Last I heard. They are lasting about 2.5 years, and batteries about 2 years.
