I know we have a lot of fun here. And I'm part of it more often than not. But I've never in my life seen the Editorial page of the Wall Street Journal use italics in their musings and I feel obligated to share it here:
The government needs to act to prevent the liquidity panic from becoming a solvency rout that becomes a banking crisis.*
I'm not trying to sow panic or discord but the immediate financial situation is worse than post-Lehman 2008. No one knows where the market bottom is here. Every investment entity is hoarding cash. Many solid companies may become insolvent and fail due to current conditions. The free market is in free-fall and the only advice I have is pay incredibly close attention to what is occurring. Our nation is in a very precarious state right now.
