With the long lag between exposure and symptoms (and people may be contagious after symptoms disappear), plus the folks that refuse to self-quarantine, it's going to spread. For those of us in rural areas, it may take a little longer to get here, but it will.
As far as people freaking out, that's going on in cities of all sizes. My tiny burg is out of TP and most meats right now. (I can understand the run on meat and other foods, but a roll of TP lasts a long time. You don't need to buy it up by the grocery cart. Get a 24-pack and leave some for others.)
I have a friend that eats take-out a lot. He's thinking about selling paper napkins for $1 a piece on Ebay. Most are plain white but some of them have pretty graphics. Get 'em while they're hot!
