It actually wasn't terrible once I got the hang of it. The first bit is the hard part. Also per DEI's recommendation, I lightly sprayed the wrap with water just enough to moisten it and let the fibers stretch a bit. I'd do a couple turns, lock it with the safety wire, and then finish my section before going back for additional wiring. When I did the safety wire, I left enough after clipping that I could fold it back against the pipe. Also, wearing gloves helped limit the stabbed fingers.
I'm sure when I'm lying under the car fitting everything in place, I'll look a lot more like I visited an unfriendly section of Detroit late at night while carrying obvious money.
