I have the K&N blackhawk or black series or something to that effect. The heat shields are aluminum.
I bought it for 3 reasons: It only cost me 240 bucks, i wanted louder intake noises, and i didn't want to pull the bumper off of my new car to install intakes.
With the heat shields i cant fathom it hurts performance over stock, especially
with getting rid of the trojan ultra ribbed hoses.
