Traction control has nothing to do with it. All 370Z have traction control (aka Vehicle Dynamic Control or VDC) The difference is the internal parts in the rear differential housing. The Sports and Nismo models have a Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD) which is physically different from the open differential in the base model which is why there are different size stub axles.
