Default Replacement Key Fob Wont Program!?

Not sure if the is the proper place for this, but I just tried programming an OEM key fob I got of Amazon. I matched the FCC ID with my existing key (KR55WK49622) but the key would not program. My existing key could be reprogrammed without issue. What else would need to match for this to work properly? All I ever see is matching the FCC ID.

I popped out the circuit board to compare. They both look the same (one is a darker green than the other) and have the same part numbers with differing revisions:
  • Original fob (that works) is A2C53297341-01 made by SIEMENS.
  • New fob (that wont program) is A2C53297341-03 made by CONTINENTAL.

The locksmith pulled up some info for 2009 keys and 2010 keys, but both referenced the same Nissan part number (NIS-285E3-1ET5A). However, the 2009 information doesnt mention the KR55WK49622 FCC ID, but the 2010 info does.

Very confusing.... Any ideas?
