At least in the case of mazda. Their dilemma that has had them on the drawing board for 20 yrs is they've been trying go reinvent the wheel. The 13B wouldn't pass emissions, and those of us that have owned the FD have amazing stories of unreliability, going thru st least one engine rebuild and feeding our cars a ridiculous amount of oil. Mazda has gone back to the drawing board for these reasons and to me, that's valid. Plus Ford almost bankrupted them out of the business.
Unlike Nissan, that saw amazing sales records on almost every bread and butter car they built from 2008 to 2014... then began slipping on those numbers in efforts trying to compete against Tesla. And right now PRO-PILOT is taking a slow massive shyt of unreliability.
The car market and hollywood cinema are suffering the same demise... SJW 's have infiltrated both markets with their BS and both have a confused market. Show we tree hug or should we put out what people want? So they play the middle. And whenever you play as y the middle you lose. they all should have focused on 1 serious EV n STFU n be patient. While keeping the car market successful while it was.
Nissan made an amazing engine in that VR30dett . But they neglected that chassis n transmission for PRO PILOT II. Just build a sports car with luxury amenities.
At least Mazds has been true to their mission the whole time. Yes they're underpowered and it affects my purchase of one right now. N I dont do crossovers, I'll never be "that guy". So mazda is a no go right now... but let them make a respectaable Rx7? I'll be back in one soon enough.
