Actually, Porsche buyers have priced the marque out of reality, not the other way around IMHO.
If you were lucky enough to get an allocation for a 911 GT2 RS in Canada, you paid $335,000 plus whatever a-la-carte options that Porsche could screw you over for. If you wanted to flip that car this summer, the going rate was closer to $600,000. Think of what you could buy for that! A damn nice property with a huge house on it, or a used Porsche. It's still north of $500,000 (Canadian dollars)!!!

Yes, the AMG GTR is a sweet ride. Gets bad reviews for driveability, though. Especially in the wet. Too much torque, not enough traction (or not enough talent behind the wheel). Ironically, the last one I saw had just been traded in at a Porsche dealership.
