Reading the report today. It states.
1. Tractor would not crank over. Dead battery. Battery will not hold a charge. Replace battery.
2. Engine cranks over. Will not start. Found the wires for the safety switch cut and rewired. New wiring harness.
3. Engine starts, but runs rough. Remove spark plug and replace. Still rough. Remove engine cover. Found wires to the coil and stator cut and rewired. Replace coil and stator. Engine runs fine.
4. $710.00 for labor and parts. Warranty will not cover this.
We eat the cost for a John Deere tractor and repairs.
We've had people buy lawn mowers, tractors and weedeaters. Use them one time and return them to get their money back. We call it the "Free Rental Program".
I just want to choke the living chit out of them.

I feel your pain. When I worked for Best Buy & Target, we would always get the folks that would buy a camcorder or TV on Friday, then return it on Monday. Best Buy started charging a 10% restock fee on the TVs, but that didn't slow them down. I picked up a Sony HandyCam (a real small digital camcorder) for 20% off from Target because someone bought it for their daughter's party, then returned it on Monday. There were still videos on the camera from the party.
People are stupid and cheap.....
