So i started looking at the roof rubber trim issue a little more to see if anything could be done. On each side of the car there is a small plastic clip that attaches the rubber trim to the roof. I think the uneven and very strong pressure from the new bungees is causing the clips to pop out and as a result the rubber trim ends up sticking out. i have attached a few photos.
