Same thing I'm thinking... have you tried jumping the car or replacing the battery (in the event jumping doesn't work)? Both my Z and my Honda Odyssey batteries gave up the ghost without any prior signs. The Z would start with a jump then die but the Odyssey wouldn't start even with a jump; the starter clicked on both, both times.

I worked in auto parts for 8+ years, and it was common that people would discount the battery because the lights would turn on or you would get some indication that there was some power to the car. Bad batteries can cause some funky things to happen. I always, always, always suggest starting there before you start looking for electrical issues.
Also sometimes a car with a bad battery wont even take a jump. So that's always something to consider too.
