I’ll be honest regarding the tip alignment: I went to my local shop and they charged 1 hr of labor ($85) to get it in the lift and have the tips lined up. I was through being on my back and having the axle back portion move while tightening.

Once aligned though, I have adjusted the contact on the W brace myself. I suggest loosening all v band connections (do not remove), lift with a jack and tighten.
