The long foam place behind the aluminum bar... I'm really not sure what you mean. Maybe you could give us dimensions?

Just offhand for a good 4-channel amp, good quality, something like a Zapco ST-4XII is a good choice. Lots of options out there, but without knowing the actual dimensions and your budget, it's tough. The ST-105D.BT has more power and adds a sub channel (250-380W for sub) for just a few bucks more.

Plenty of higher-power budget amps from the Korean manufacturers, but they will be larger.

Honestly, I think we need more info to really help... I'm just not envisioning where you're talking about putting it.
