The codes it throws is C1115 (Wheel speed sensor input fault) with is really generic and just tells me that the ABS module just doesn't see wheel speed signals it expects to see and shuts ABS off. I honestly think it's something in the software and there's nothing physically wrong with the car. I've inspected my speed sensors to make sure they weren't dirty or had a lot of metal attached to them, which they don't. I'm wondering if my Z1 diff cover has anything to do with it, but the sensors seem to have a good air gap from the reluctor wheels, and also I think I had the same issue while I had the stock cover on, as well, but I could be wrong.
I've had the same issue happen on my SP car a few times. For me, it always seemed related to heat. The only difference is mine doesn't immediately go back to normal. It generally takes 10-15 minutes of "cool down" time with the car off before the fault clears. Best part is that while the ABS is faulted the car won't turn off like it should because it doesn't know the car is stopped. Only way to get the car to shutoff is to push and hold the off/on/start button.
