Another thing I would like to blame Nissan is the pricing strategy. Nissan dealers (at least in my area) post below invoice internet price on their websites all year around. For example, there is a black 2019 Nismo Z automatic in my area with a MSRP of $48.2k and the internet price is $43.5k. To me, if Nissan cannot charge its customers anything above invoice year after year (I bought my 40th Anniversary Edition for $3k below invoice), why even promotes the NISMO Z as a $48,000 car and gives people excuse to hate it? I am pretty sure the press or other car enthusiasts will treat the NISMO Z nicer if they know it is a $44,000 car instead.
