I watched the video and I actually think it is a valid look at the Nismo version. The footnote being it is an old-school car with an old-school engine

WARNING, I will be getting into some pretty locally specific Czech republic stuff here, so do not read further if not interested

In the Czech republic, the Nismo costs around the same as the V8 Mustang GT (56 000$), so there is not really a reason to go for the Nismo. These are also the only muscle cars you can buy new that are officially imported. I have driven both, the Mustang for over 1000 miles, and IMHO it is just a better car in every aspect I could think of. It may even have lower fuel consumption. However, when we look at the base versions the situation changes dramatically.

The european 370z base already has everything an old-school sports car needs (and not much more, that is true). They even started to throw in the syncro rev for 2019. I got my base for 35 000$, and there is certainly not a car that would be close in engine power for the money.

You have the:

Mazda MX5 and Subaru BRZ for 35 000$ - fun cars, but just lack raw power
Mustang with EcoBoost for 51 500$ - personally, I would not even consider it, as it is just 4 500$ cheaper than the V8
Mustang GT for 56 000$ - yeah, a better car certainly, but 21 000$ above the base Z

and then you have the european high end stuff

Audi TTS for 67 000$ and BMW M2 for 76 000$ - with the czech average salary of 1 250$ a month, these cars are just excessively expensive

So in our country, the 370z is still a relevant car, even after being sold for a decade. The question here is if you can live without all the modern stuff

PS: Having tried "the modern stuff". The absence of line assist, start & stop and some other assistants was actually one of my requirements for the sports car
