Is it necessary to get a charge pipe for the overflow hole? Why can't I just stick a vinyl tube deep up into the hole instead of using a charge pipe? Also why can't you reuse the overflow plug? I understand why you shouldn't reuse a crush washer but the overflow plug, I assume, is solid.
