As a teacher I heard the "drop in the LS" thing from high school students all the time... their lazy default. It's like rooting for the Yankees but you don't live in or near, and have never been there. It's okay, but it takes no imagination and is about as original as discovering we breath air. I had to school a lot of young people almost all who could not fathom why on earth anyone would Drive a Z. Don't you want a Ford or Chevy truck, Mr. s, they would intone. Oh brother.

I got to drive one of the early Scarabs (Chevy 350 in a 240Z body). Holy crap, that thing would fly...
That was before we knew about good tires, suspensions, bigger brakes; you know all the stuff that might keep us from flying away...
