I had a semi-productive weekend....
Friday nights front brake job on the CR-V turned into fronts and backs. We figured that while the car was here, it was worth the time to look at the backs. The rotors were in good shape, no grooves or funny stuff on them, so I hit them with the surface prep tool and a 3M pad, scuffed them up and put the new pads on. Total of a couple of hours, including two trips to the parts store.
I finally got around to putting the Z1 hood struts I bought off of a forum member, on the car. It was pretty straight forward, no problems at all. I was able to squeeze my skinny arm into the wheel well with the tires on, to tighten up the post that goes through the fender liner. This time, I pulled the prop rod off the car and stashed it in the garage. The only challenge was that the Z1 struts don't go up as high as the ones I had on the 2012. Those I got from kellyefields as part of a group buy.
Sunday was a trip to the City Market here in KC with HAZCC (the Z & G car club) for a mini show. I say 'mini' because we had 5 cars; 1 350 semi-drift car and 4 370s. We used to get 15 to 20 cars for this event, but I'm thinking that 9 am on a Sunday isn't a good time for people. We used to do this event on Saturdays, but I think the location coordinator changed the dates.
Got home from that at about 1, and the fiancee wanted to put up the purple martin house....
Good grief, that sonofabitch is awkward as hell....
At least I didn't loose any skin in the process.
Figured out that my 2015 didn't come with splash guards...
I found front and back ones, in the correct color, on eBay.. (yes, they are new ones) I'll have them this weekend.
