HillCrestTop,

You need to watch ALL of the 13 videos that an Oregon company, Top Hydraulics, has posted on YouTube on our 370Z Roaster convertible top issues. They are excellent, and will explain where and why almost all top problems occur on our cars.

Their company rebuilds the hydraulic parts of the top system with better than original seals and hoses, etc., and go through what is required to remove and replace the various items within the videos.

There is even a video on how to find the offending electrical issue (broken wire?) by tracing the pin outs from the top computer.

Even if you aren't a decent backyard mechanic, armed with their videos on a laptop and a factory service manual (many of the guys here have an online copy of it ), a good local convertible top repair shop should be able to correct most top problems, even if they've never done a 370Z Roadster before.

So don't give up, do some research, and you may be able to solve your top problem.
