I am not disputing the weaker spring is better, but just to understand the reason.

So with the oem heavier spring, the clutch pedal is lighter to press down because the spring would decompress in the process which would make the pedal easier to go down.

And the spring would compress during the release of the clutch pedal. Being a heavier spring, the pedal would be released slower than the lighter spring.

I imagine the slower release action with the oem heavier spring would be more manageable?
