I can remember one guy driving in and asking for a tune up. Pulled the plugs out and they was covered in oil, plus one had a smashed electrode. Hmmmmm did a compression test. One cylinder had zero compression. Removed the valve cover. Packed full of sludge.
Turned the motor over by hand. The the rockers for the valves on the zero cylinder barely moved. Hmmmm removed the rockers and the push rods wouldn't come out. Hmmmmm finally got them out and they was bent. Hmmmmmm Removed the head and had 2 pistons at TDC. Hmmmmmmmmm Rebuild time. This was the first time I seen a piston break at the oil ring land. The top of the piston was at TDC and the rest of the piston shirt was still moving in the cylinder like nothing happened.
