Okay guys as you may know im from South Africa so i cant use some tuners like y'all and get parts easily and at the same prices you do.
But we have a company here called Rob Green Motorsport (RGM) they do the supercharging of all types of cars and exhausts, tuning and nitrous e.t.c.
They offer a stage 1 kit for the 370z which includes a Uni-CHip tune, an exhaust made by them and a serviceable k&n filter.
As Johannesburg is 2000m above sea level NA cars lose 20% power just because of the altitude
The Stock car seems to only put down 175kw on the wheels!!!. (RGM's DYno's seem to be very accurate compared to other dyno's here).
Here is the dyno chart
This is shocking to me to only produce this much power on the wheels!
I got a quote for an exhaust by them which was R10 000 (US$1333.33)
which i would pay because it looks like a$$ and doesn't sound very nice in the dyno vid.
I ordered the HKS centre pipe as i could source it cheaper here and could get it for the same price they would have charged me for their centre pipe!.
Here is a vid of their dyno
My question is.. I have ordered the HKS centre pipe and looking at getting the injen intake kit (waiting on 370source for shipping price).
Should i get this tune?... Will i gain more due to different mods?..
Mainly is it safe to do a tune like this as the car is not even producing the power it should due to altitude?... Therefore would no parts be under more stress than a car at sea level?
