When I worked for Elliott. It was feast or famine. 12hr day, 7 days a week or laid off. You would work about 5 months of 12's. Then go back to 40. Felt like you was getting a pay cut.  Seen guys crying for OT, because they couldn't make ends meet on 40 hrs. They got used to the OT, and counted on it being there. Go from $1,800 plus a week to $1,200 a week. |
They paid you big bucks up there; Master Certified here & only knocking down 30/hr...so the 30-40 hrs OT has really boosted things
