Are they sure that it was low on oil? How was this determined, was the dipstick checked prior to the emptying of the old oil from your car?
If you are only going off of the CEL then it only will tell you that there is no oil pressure being sensed by the sensor, this could mean two things:
1. You actually had low oil in the engine and the sensor gave feedback of no pressure
2. The oil galley gaskets have failed and are causing the "low oil" CEL
I suspect that if you have not burned any oil in a period of driving then I would lean more towards the oil galley gaskets.
