Chilling at the GF's waiting for the stupid ISP tech to arrive to look at the modem. Going to have the guy tone out all the Coax in the house and trace where each strand leads to. I also want him to get a network tech on the phone so we can trace the signal to the nearest node to see what degradation is had. No reason for the modem to be throwing codes stating a shakeback couldn't occur. To me, that implies the coax somewhere is either faulty or the node itself is sharting itself. Uplink and downlink both looked stable from the modem itself so it can't be a power frequency issue.
