The motor was a 304. I had a black '73 Hornet 2 door with the 304. I drop a vavle in that motor. I replaced that motor with the 401. Straight bolt-in. Didn't have to change anything on the swap.
Also. The pass door was 4" longer then the driver's door. The driver's seat did not fold forward to let people into the rear seat.
The AMX was the car to have from AMC.
It was a shorten Javelin. They shorten the wheelbase and removed the rear seat in the early years.
