Had a woman from Pittsburgh driving a Caddy stop at the shop. She and her mother was taking a nice ride up in the mountains. Said her car would not start all the time. Turns out to be a bad starter. Told her a rebuilt starter is $230. plus labor. She demands that she wants a brand new one. Called the local Caddy dealership for a price.
$2,200 for a new one. Called another dealership. Same price.
Told the woman the price. She said to call another dealership. We did. Same price.
She ended up with the rebuilt starter.
Damn doctor's wife.
