That's actually just where I work
I'm in NE Philly, near Frankfurt Ave. You leave the safety of the fenced in lot, and you take your life into your own hands! Occasionally, you can hear gunfire. A woman we call Big Mama plies her trade on a front porch nearby, concealed only by sheets (she gets herself arrested every winter so she can stay indoors). A few years back, a guy was arrested for murder after going door to door asking to borrow a shovel - so he could hide the body of a guy he knifed.
Fortunately, I live well outside Philly.
