With the APEX it doesn't connect to your ODBII from the info in their website so you won't have any RPM data, engine temps, throttle position, etc. Not too big of a deal but it's nice.

The soloDL is so easy to read and with the predictive lap times I can see when I change something (like turn in point) if that helped my time or hurt it in seconds while driving. It also has some pretty advanced software for analysis. It also has a lot of expand ability potential but it's pricey. It's also much better to view on a big screen like a laptop or tablet then a phone.

One thing to note I did have one experience where the HPDE organizer did not allow dedicated lap timers but was ok with phones with video (and lap timer) apps. Some sort of nonsense about only racers use dedicated lap timers and there is no racing in HPDE. So don't ditch your phone/app/mount.

So this is completely off topic, but I am curious why there is a spoiler block hiding that reference in it.
