I've been looking over the ONEighty headlight posts and have decided to have mine done before I sell my DD and make the Z the primary.

Has anyone:

Just hooked up the wires that are intended to go to a switch to a 12 volt circuit that is on only when the car is running? Any reason not to?
Has anyone had any problems since now it's been a while after they've had the mod done? (Long term results)

I apologize, I assume it's been discussed, but I can't find any reference to my questions. I've called ONEighty 2 days ago and left a message but no response yet. I'm going to call again this afternoon.
